Mandala tuning

Various sizes. Tuning is a concessional gesture to a hybrid aesthetic. The motif in salt evokes a woven carpet – a traditional object of manufactured design. The pattern refers to the aesthetics of tuning, and to a quest for an image of uniqueness and power. The salt symbolises preservation (of food), of purification (superstition), and life (nothing lives in salt, nothing lives without salt).
